Out There offers support to families who are affected by the imprisonment of a family member.

The support each family needs varies. The sort of help we can offer includes:

Information and Advice.
Face to Face and/or Phone Support.
Direct work with children who have been affected by the imprisonment of a family member
Referral and support to access other organisations e.g Welfare Advice.
Opportunities to meet other families going through a similar experience.

Out There helps prisoners’ families maintain contact with their imprisoned family member and in practical ways ameliorates some of the harmful effects caused by the experience of imprisonment on innocent family members.

Out There was founded in 2006 by Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul as a small local charity. We are part of a family of Vincentian charities responding practically to present and emerging poverties across Great Britain. Learn more here: https://www.dcsvpservices.org/
