Main Aims of the Post
To provide Wellbeing support for people on probation as part of the Greater Manchester Rehabilitation Services (GM IRS). To provide one-to-one and group coaching for people on probation in the locality, working with people that may have multiple and complex barriers to overcome them, supporting reduction in reoffending.
To develop pathways into the service and outward to local providers to specifically support the rehabilitation of this client group, including but not limited at:
- De-escalation of complex needs, including risk management and support to understand and maintain licence conditions;
- Access to a flexible and tailored curriculum of mental health groups and peer support e.g., anger, emotional regulation, dealing with trauma and abuse;
- Positive relationships with families, communities, and peers;
- Wellbeing and healthy lifestyles;
- Access to substance misuse, employment, mental health and housing support; or support to engage with providers of these services.
