Out There is committed to protecting the privacy of those who approach us for help and our supporters and stakeholders. We have recently updated our Data Protection Policy to comply with the Genera Data Protection Regulation and have looked at the way in which we collect and hold information

The Information we collect

Out There offers support to families who are affected by the imprisonment of a family member. The support each family needs varies. The sort of help we can offer includes:

• Information and Advice.
• Face to Face and/or Phone Support.
• Referral and support to access other organisations e.g Welfare Advice.
• Opportunities to meet other families going through a similar experience

To do our work we need to collect information not only from those who come to us for support but also from those who support us, including volunteers and donors

Identifiable information

Out There will only collect personal information when you specifically provide it to us. Examples of personal information are:

• your name
• your address
• your telephone number
• your e-mail address

We may use the personal information you provide to support you if you have approached us for help or contact you in the future about Out There’s work, services and events. If you do not want this to happen you can contact us on the email below

• feedback about the support we have given and the work we do

We use this information to provide a better service

Monitoring & Funding

Out There will pull together information about service users or supporters to improve the services we provide for monitoring and funding bids. None of this will identify people personally

Out There’s current website provides information on what we do and how to contact us. The webpage collects some small pieces of information about your visit to it mainly for us to understand how frequently the website is used. This information is called cookies.
